LAKE FOREST, CA – An evening promoting global world peace day in Southern CA. The event was organizes by Global Peace Foundation Inc whosw mission is to promot peace locally and around the world. Global Peace Foundation inc was held at Tandoor Banquet and Bar restaurant on Sept. 16 2017. 

Mini Guleria welcomed and introduced Tilma Bista Emcee first runnerup Nepal USA 2011. The portion of Emcee part was done by Rupsi Burman. The event commenced with the singing of the U.S. National Anthem by Sampurna Dube. The entertainment portion of the program kicked off with Nepali dancers, Manita & Gopal, who wowed the audience with their lithe moves.  They came to perform from San Diego CA. A crowd of more than 170 + were captivated by speeches from distinguished speakers, such as; Guest of Honor, Sir Bruno Serato, a famous chef and CNN Hero 2011; and got nererous award for his Humanitarian work. He explained how he spead peace by helping families and feeding 2000 children every day for free. The keynote speaker Prem Guragain,  peace promoter and frequent UN speaker,in his speech told audience that how we can join force gogether to spread peace. Dr. Hyder Zahed, scientist and author of Create Your Legacy: Four Portals to Living a Life of Love and Caring. All related their own personal experiences and what global peace meant to them.

Monk, spiritual activist and meditation instructor, Dada Nabhaniilananda, also known as The Monk Dude,  who was won 5 international song writing award explain the audience the importance of meditation and music in peace. And involved the audience with chanting a mantra of baba nam kevalam, followed by a brief period of meditation that espoused love and enlightenment. 

Famous Hollywood music composer Stephen Day who composed music for 7 films, 4 albums and several TV shows explain the powerful medium of music with deep healing quality of meditation and played Sarod. 

Dr Manorama Sharma Gupta M.D. ,Founder and President of Global Peace Foundation Inc in her speech explained how Global Peace Foundation Inc has been helping children and families by donating Toys, feeding Homless and distributing Blankets, arranging different cultural programs for children to show their talent and feel confident. She also explained Foundations future plans of feeding Homeless and distributing Blankets. Women’s leadership Summit, Youth day locally and internationally and World Peace Day. She urge attendees to be part of peace and join hands together to promote peace. She thanked all invited guests, speakers, performes, Sampurna Dube for National Antham booth vendors , some of them came all the way from Northern CA, TV Asia Raj Nangia, Srini Natarajan of  Urbanitel LA, India Journal, India West,Tandoor Restaurant, Avdhesh and Uma Agarwal and Suresh and Nalini Bhatti and all other supporters. And specially her organizing committee members who worked very hard to make this event succeesful. Mini Gularia as event coordinator, Vilas Jadhav program Director,publishing and advertising committee Ashok Madan, Vilas Jadhav, Dr Sukrit Mukherjee , Kewal Kanda, Dilip Butani and Aparna Hande, stage coordination Dr Sowmya Ananthnarayana and Kalika Gupta, Vasu Pawar, Kamlesh Chauhan, decoration and reception Mini Guleria,Ajoy Dube, Rupsi Burman, Rani Kuusto, Manju Madan and cultural program Pooja Thomre, and auction Pat Patnayak.

while a small Latin dance troupe who came to perform from San Diego astounded the audience with their marvelous tangos and jitterbug dancing wh. A standing ovation was also given to Kamlesh Chauhan, who delivered a strong message for peace through her stirring monologue. Young students from Adda Dance Academy impress the audience with their performance.

A live and silent auction to help victims of the recent hurricanes was also held and moderated by fundraising auctioneer John Kunkle of the television show, Container Wars.

Other speakers, Dr. Caren Rich and Je’Net Kreitner, both related personal stories of hope through adversity, which held the audience in rapt attention. Awards were given to the awardees for their outstanding community service and peace promotion. The Awards  and certificates were distributed by Alan Vo Ford who is a film producer, successful business owner and Chairman of International Festval 2017. Miss Elahe Amani was awarded as peace Ambassador. Secretary Rani Kuusto gave vote of thanks to all involved that concluded the evening. Dr. Gupta was especially singled out and praised for her efforts in putting together a most wonderful evening. Media sponsor, TV Asia were on hand to cover the entire event.

Tandoor Banquet and Bar provided the facilities and delicious appetizers followed by sumptuous dinner and dessert.
